Tatiana Shabanova

My name is Tetiana Shabanova. I'm a pianist, arrangement and composer. I'm played the piano classical music, improvisation music and jazz.

And now a few words about myself:

I'm a pianist and I'd been playing piano since I was 4 years old. I finished music school (class of fortepiano) in 1987 and then in 1993 I finished Rostov State Conservatory named after Rakhmaninov. During the time of my education I took part in classical concerts. At that time I also got interested in jazz music.

From 1993 I teach (improvisation class) in Mariupol State University at a musical department and also I teach students in Musical College and Musical School #3 for children.

From 1993 I play jazz and classical music in concerts. I took part in a great many international festivals and competitions and almost in all jazz festivals in Ukraine (Kiev, Uzhgorod, Rovno, Uman, Simferopol, Yalta, Donetsk ...etc).

In 2000 I received a diploma of International jazz festival "Autumn jazz festival" in Kiev in category of arrangement.

In 2007 I took in international festival and competition in Montenegro, and have "Gold Brand".

In 2008 I received a diploma of International jazz competition "Yellow Submarine" in Kiev in category of arrangement.

I teach basics of improvisation and jazz interpretation, write methodical works.

I also write arrangements for choir, combo-group, Dixieland's, jazz bands, classical trio, violins orchestra, wind orchestra. To crown it all I'm a category "Teacher-Methods" (Textbook of methodic "Fundamentals of Improvisation" // Vinnitsa: Nova Knyha, 2008 – 132p. ISMN M-707505-33-5) and superior category concert master.

I also the author of scientific articles on improvisation problems.

2013-2014 I'm teaching in Chine's High Ying Art Training School.
